Public Electric Power Management Authority increased FY24 basic power charge by Rs 4.96 per unit
At the request of Global Money Related Asset\'s (Imf\'s), the Public Electric Impact Administrative Branch (Nepra) increased the impact base tax for FY24 by Rs4.96 per unit. In case the public authority supports Nepra's synopsis, the new base rates will be applied in tranches to electricity buyers and the rates will become viable from July 1.
The government has also decided to build the duration of rush hours, Everyday Jang revealed, practicable from July 1. The prime time has now been extended by two hours, i.e. instead of 18:00. M. to 22:00 m., the time has been changed to 17:00. M. to 23:00 m., according to distribution .
The public authority has done everything possible to meet the IMF's needs, including the expansion of energy rights, oil tariffs and personal rights. However, this has further worried more as the expansion continues at significant levels.
Amounts month by month (without charges or extra expenses)
Where material, customers using 100 units per month will see their base rate increase from Rs 13.4 per unit to Rs 18.36 per unit and their utility bill expand to Rs 1,836. The monthly bill of those using 200 units of energy will increase from Rs 3,700 to Rs 4,700 while their base rate will rise to Rs 23.91 per unit.
Households consuming 300 units of power in a month will see bills between Rs 6,000 and Rs 8,000, while the bills of those using 400 units of power will rise to Rs 12,300. For those using 500 units of power, bills will be between Rs13,000 and Rs16,000
